Central Valley. M-W Varsity Boys Lacrosse team open the 2025 season with a 17-8 thumping of New Paltz

Thursday, March 27 at Monroe-Woodbury High School, The Crusaders started their 2025 Boys Varsity Lacrosse season at home on March 27 when they took on the Huguenots of New Paltz in a non-league match up.

Head Coach Steven Brown and Assistant Coach Chris Sullivan have the two-time consecutive Section 9 Champion Crusaders ready to defend their title.

The Crusaders jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter with Ryan Behringer scoring four of his seven goals in the game.

The two teams exchanged goals in the second quarter with Liam Williamson scoring twice. The Crusaders were up 10-7 at the half.

In the third quarter the Crusades increased their lead to 14-5 as John Gennaro scored his third goal of the game.

The Crusaders’ Max Weeks scored his third goal of the game in the final quarter as the Crusaders looked ready in their home opener.

The Crusaders 17-8 victory makes their record 1-0; their next game will be on Saturday when they host Suffern.
