This year marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The Village of Monroe’s Remembrance Service will take place Saturday, Sept. 11, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with music provided by members of the Monroe-Woodbury Chamber Orchestra.
The 9/11 Ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. and will be led by members of the Interfaith Clergy, local public officials and members of Emergency Services.
“As always,” Mayor Neil S. Dwyer said, “our goal is to honor our community, its members, and our way of life with the utmost respect and dignity to those who lost their lives on that fateful day and continue to do so.”
