The Woodbury Historical Society is located in the historic branch of the Rushmore Memorial Public Library and the office of the Town Historian, Leslie Rose. The building was built in 1923 by the Charles E. Rushmore Family so that the Town could have a public library.Mr. Rushmore was a prominent and wealthy attorney who worked in NYC and lived in Woodbury. Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota was named for him. He died in 1930.
