'What Monroe really needs is answers to some very big questions'
I’m writing in response to the United Monroe Executive Committee’s October 16th letter.
While I appreciate the food truck events and new ice cream parlor I think what Monroe really needs is answers to some very big questions.
Why did our school taxes increase when we were told they wouldn’t? Why are five-story buildings popping up so quickly?
Why is Nininger Road becoming inaccessible?
Are more tax increases coming?
Exactly how much high density housing did United Monroe sign-off on when they cut their deal with KJ?
I want to know if my property investment in Monroe is still viable or if my retirement plans rest on ice cream, hot dogs and the profitability of a movie theater.
I will vote this year as always, but I will not vote for any United Monroe endorsed town board candidate until these important questions are clearly and honestly answered.
