Warwick Valley Gardeners would like to thank our sponsors, homeowners who opened their properties, and our dedicated members for a successful Countryside Garden Tour held July 8.
This yearly event is our largest fundraiser and we are grateful to all who participate and support the club.
Income raised from the tour as well as donations helps support nine public gardens in Warwick and Pine Island, covers costs to decorate the Railroad Green during the holidays, funds a scholarship to a Warwick High School student, provides new books on gardening for young and old to three local libraries, and supports a Youth Gardening program.
More than 80 people ended this special day by celebrating homeowners and members at Mountain Lake Park, sharing wonderful food and drink, much approbation and feelings of success.
A lot of hard work is hidden behind beautiful things like gardens.
Membership is open to all, regardless of horticultural ability.
Many of our meetings are open to the public.
Our speakers are experts on topics such as Invasive Plants, Soil or Permaculture.
