United Monroe Exec Committee: 'Debbie Behringer has helped to make the Village of Monroe a safer and more sustainable community'
The United Monroe Executive committee is proud to endorse Debbie Sommerlad Behringer for re-election to the Village of Monroe Board of Trustees.
Debbie’s Monroe roots grow deep. She is a lifelong resident and a mother of four children who attend Monroe-Woodbury schools. You’ll often see her at Pop Warner football and school lacrosse games, scouting events and fund raisers supporting community members.
As a founding member of United Monroe, Debbie has worked tirelessly in her advocacy for accountable and transparent local government. From the first protest outside the Monroe Theater after it was purchased by the prior Town Board - until today as a Village Trustee - Debbie has set aside thousands of hours of civic service for the betterment of our community.
As your Trustee, Debbie has:
· Passed resolutions annexing passive parkland into the Village;
· Introduced and passed a “no-knock” law barring realtors from solicitation;
· Introduced a Village-wide property maintenance law;
· Curtailed the expansion of transient housing through Village legislation; and
· Adopted fiscally responsible and transparent budgets.
Along with Mayor Neil Dwyer’s administration,
There is more hard work yet to come. The United Monroe Executive Committee fully supports Debbie’s candidacy, as she has proven to be up to the task of continuous improvement for the heart of our community.
The best is yet to come.
Please join us support of Debbie Sommerlad Behringer for Monroe Village Trustee, Row “C,” on Wednesday, March 18 at Village Hall.
