A Town Clerk interacts directly with the public more than any other elected official. Every day, the Clerk’s office assists us with licenses and permits, document requests, and public notices.
In addition, the Clerk’s office is the chief record keeping branch of all critical Town documents.
As a member of United Monroe, I filed several Freedom of Information requests with our Town Clerk’s office. Our Deputy Clerks, of which Valerie is one, always acted promptly and with the utmost professionalism in fulfilling my requests.
Town government has become more complex. Now is not the time to try someone new. In addition to navigating public health issues during the pandemic, our Clerk’s office must manage Monroe’s financial and governmental records with efficiency and accuracy.
I believe that our best path to continuance of good government will be with Valerie Bitzer at the helm as Monroe Town Clerk.
This year, Monroe voters can choose experience, ethics, and good government. Please say “yes” to all three. Join me on Nov. 2nd by voting for Valerie Bitzer for Monroe Town Clerk.
