On to a new day

On Nov. 3, 8,352 of us said “yes” to fair, open and transparent government by electing Tony Cardone and Mike McGinn to the Monroe Town Council.

We also told Councilman Dan Burke to “go home.”

Regardless of religious preference, 8,352 of us crushed the ideal of divisiveness and hatred that was fostered by the Doles-McQuade-Burke regime.

But for a miniscule number of votes outside of Kiryas Joel, Burke’s only support came from those holding onto the directive of the KJPE’s “Anash” party.

Voters affiliated with the Kiryas Joel Alliance (KJA) – subject to discrimination within and without their home village – embrace United Monroe’s message of Accountability, Civility, and Transparency, ACT.

No one should be punished by their municipal government because of their decision to vote for any candidate.

We,the overwhelming majority of Monroe voters look toward a time of healing and good will between communities.

We anticipate a period of fiscal responsibility, marked by the end of cronyism and thoughtless spending.

On to a new day; it’s time to take out the trash.
