The following is a message from Village Mayor Neil Dwyer and the Monroe Downtown Revitalization Committee:
In challenging times like these, we all need messages of hope. We would like to join the many communities that are doing a Kindness Rocks project.
Please find a rock and paint it with a design or message of positivity and peace and place it somewhere on your property – perhaps where your neighbors can easily see it while walking by.
The Village of Monroe would like to invite all those who have made a Kindness Rock to post it on our Village of Monroe NY Facebook page. We would be so happy to share your work.
Hopefully we will have an opportunity in the future to display the rocks in our village parks. Details to come.
You can use acrylic paint, porch paint or even nail polish.
Or, if you would like to purchase a rock painting kit, one can be delivered to your home from Monroe’s own “Traveling Teacher.”
