‘I wear a mask to protect you and you wear a mask to protect me’

Dan MacLeod’s letter to the editor about personalizing the fit of home made face masks was good advice.
However, he is stating that this will help increase protection from the virus droplets.
The purpose of all of us wearing a face mask is to prevent OUR droplets from possibly infecting a person near us.
The only approved mask to protect the wearer is the N95 and that has to be fit tested.
I wear a mask to protect you and you wear a mask to protect me.
Sincerely,
