Cardone and McGinn for Monroe Town Board

We, Tony Cardone and Mike McGinn, are writing to respectfully request your vote and support in the upcoming Republican Primary for the Monroe Town Council on Thursday, Sept. 10th.

We are both longtime Monroe residents with deep ties to the community and history of commitment and service to the citizens of our town.

We are running as a team because we are gravely concerned with the decisions and direction that our current Town Board has taken.

Unfortunately, the current Board has engaged in a pattern of highly questionable practices and decisions that have caused the members of this once proud community to lose faith in their local elected officials.

The citizens of Monroe can be assured that Tony Cardone and Mike McGinn will never put personal or political ambition above our desire to serve the common good of those that have entrusted us their votes and a hope for better tomorrow for our town. Our pledge to you is this:

• We will work to restore common sense, good-government practices and transparency to the Town Board.

• Implement sound financial controls and prepare fiscally responsible budgets that focus on essential services and eliminate current wasteful spending practices.

• Support a smaller, more efficient local government that does not encumber the hardworking taxpayers with patronage jobs held by unqualified employees and political cronies.

• We are fully committed to fair and equal representation for ALL residents of the Town of Monroe regardless of where they live or party affiliation.

Our message is clear: It’s time to restore trust and integrity to our town. It’s time to take back our town board!
