MONROE. Help Monroe Dental office give back on Aug.10

Monroe Dental is hosting a blood drive on Saturday, Aug.10, from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m.at its office at Federal Plaza, 400 Route 17M in Monroe.

There’s a back story to why Monroe Dental is hosting this blood drive. Let Guarneri explain:

“On October 8, 2017, my beautiful daughter Julianna was born. I was in labor with her for 36 hours and ultimately had a have an emergency C-section. While in recovery from the C-section, I started to not feel well and my blood pressure began to plummet. I was rushed back into emergency surgery were it was determined that an artery attached to my uterus had become detached and I was bleeding internally.

“After six hours of surgery and seven pints of blood, I was finally stabilized.

“The generosity of blood donors changed the course of my life and the lives of my family and friends. Although my experience is difficult to talk about, it’s even harder to put into words how unbelievably grateful I am to be here to watch my daughter grow. My employer, Monroe Dental, is supporting me by helping host a blood drive as a thank you to those selfless donors who will never know how much their blood donation affected my life.”
