M-W Varsity Girls Soccer team captured OCIAA Division 1 crown with eighth shutout of the year

CENTRAL VALLEY — The Monroe-Woodbury Varsity Girls Soccer team hosted the Tigers of Kingston on Friday, Oct. 14 in the team's last OCIAA Division 1 game of the year.
The undefeated Crusaders recorded their 8th shutout of the year on their way to a 5-0 victory.
Crusader goals were scored by Hannah Geller (two), Annabella Campagna, Gabrielle Varley and Liz Myers.
The Crusaders' victory gives them the OCIAA Division 1 season crown with a 8-0 record and gives them a 13-0-1 regular season mark overall.
Before the game, Head Coach Bill Mpasaikos and Assistant Coach Samantha Garnet held a brief ceremony to give recognition to the 13 seniors on this year's team.
