On Saturday morning, the last day of August, the Monroe-Woodbury Varsity Boys Soccer team traveled to Suffern High School to face the Mounties in the final preseason scrimmage.

The Crusaders are coming off an incredible 2018 that saw them post a 21-0 record and claim the New York State AA title last year.

Head Coach Ken Clearwater and Assistant Coach Marc Gawron have led the Crusaders to a 46-8-5 record over the last three seasons.

They will have to rebuild their team after loosing 14 seniors to graduation but the Crusaders draw their talent from a deep pool and hope to start off just where they left off last year.

The team looked sharp as they shut out the Mounties in the scrimmage 3-0.

They will start their season off on Thursday afternoon when they travel to Valley Central to face the Vikings.
