Central Valley. Crusaders dominate Pine Bush 64-32 in boys varsity basketball

On Wednesday night, Jan. 18, the Bushmen of Pine Bush came to Monroe-Woodbury High School for the teams’ second varsity boys basketball meeting of the year.
The Crusaders entered the game with a 7-3 record after beating Middletown in their last game 72-68.
The Bushmen were still looking for their first victory.
In the first quarter Jahnkarlos Mendoza got Crusaders off to a big lead as he poured in 13 of his game-high 17 points and the team took a 19-point lead.
Kyle McDermott kept the Crusaders offense rolling in the second quarter, scoring seven as they pulled to a 36-10 half time lead.
In the third it was Christopher Pearson who hit three thre-point shots as the Crusaders put the game out of hand.
Bryce Williams scored four for the Crusaders as they wrapped up the game in the final quarter.
The Crusaders’ 64-32 victory brings their record 8-3. Up next they face face the Washington Wizards.
