On March 29, the Wallkill Police Department released further details on the bomb threat initially reported by Goshen Village Police Chief Ryan Rich during his regular report to village trustees in March. As Chief Rich noted at the time, on March 20, Goshen Village PD Officer Jeremy Harter and his explosive detection K-9 Walker were called to assist in the search of explosive devices at Garnet Health Medical Center after receiving a report of a bomb threat.

According to the Wallkill PD, the report was initially fielded by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, which contacted Wallkill PD regarding what was described as “a third-party caller receiving a voicemail indicating a bomb threat at Garnet Health Medical Center.”

The call was reportedly placed from the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center in Goshen. After conferring with Garnet Health Medical Center security management, members of the Wallkill Police, Garnet’s security, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a Town of Chester K9 unit, and the Goshen K9 unit conducted a search of the exterior of buildings and grounds that failed to find any explosive devices or suspects in the area. There were no reported injuries, and no interruption in hospital services.

Then on Wednesday, March 27, at around 8:45 a.m., Wallkill Police Detective Christopher DiNapoli arrested Donna Inga, 64, of New Hampton on the charge of falsely reporting an incident in the second degree. Inga was released on an appearance ticket until her next court appearance on April 17 at 9 a.m. in the Town of Wallkill Court.
