State police report fatal crash in Monroe
Monroe. The driver died after crashing into an embankment.

On December 10, at approximately 11:03 p.m., state troopers from the Monroe barracks responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Larkin Dr. in Monroe.
According to the police report, a 2012 Chrysler van was traveling westbound on Larkin Dr. in Monroe when it exited the roadway “for unknown reasons” and struck an embankment. The driver, identified as Ulugbek Yunussov, 62, of Brooklyn, was extricated from the vehicle. EMS began lifesaving measures at the scene and then transported Yunussov to Garnet Health Medical Center where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. This incident remains under investigation.
