Police investigate bomb threat at local DEC office

New Paltz. No explosives were found.

On November 4, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation notified the State Police that it received an emailed bomb threat targeting the DEC Region 3 office in New Paltz. Region 3 covers Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester counties.

According to the police report, troopers conducted a thorough search of the building and did not find any explosive devices. The investigation into the threat is ongoing.
