Woodbury. The suspects have since been located.

On February 9, at around 10:01 p.m., a NYS Park Police officer witnessed a vehicle traveling at a “high rate of speed” northbound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway near Exit 17. According to the police report, when the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver sped away. The officer then witnessed the driver leaving the Parkway at Exit 18 heading westbound on Route 6.
The park police officer continued to follow on Route 6, but at a lower speed, and then came upon a three-car motor vehicle accident allegedly involving to fleeing driver, who was operating a 2019 Infiniti, about three miles up the road.
According to the police report, the Infiniti, which included two occupants, was traveling west on Route 6 when it rear-ended a Toyota Sienna traveling in the same direction. The collision with the Toyota caused that car to cross over into the eastbound lane and strike a 2017 Mercedes heading east on Route 6.
Police said that the two occupants of the Infiniti then fled on foot. But two occupants of the Toyota were found dead at the scene. A third occupant of the Toyota was sent to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. The operator of the Mercedes was sent to Garnet Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.
According to the New York State Police, the alleged suspects have been located, and there is no threat to the public at this time. The investigation is ongoing, and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the park police are assisting the state police.
