Milford woman arrested on grand larceny charge

New York State Police from the Liberty barracks recently announced the arrest of Tara Muller, 41, of Milford for the following charges: unauthorized practice of profession, grand larceny in the fourth degree, offering a false instrument for filing, and falsifying business records.
According to the police report, Muller was arrested on January 19 by the State Police in Liberty and the Monroe Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) after an investigation revealed that she was representing herself as an employee of a law firm in the Hudson Valley while collecting retainer fees and representation from potential client(s).
New York State Police Monroe BCI asks that anyone who may have had contact with Muller as she represented herself with any law offices to contact the New York State Police at 845-344-5300 and reference SJS number 11759549.
