Pedal boats, a kayak and rowboats for rent

Monroe-Last year the Town of Monroe opened Pedal Boat Recreation mid summer at  Alex Pavilion on Round Lake (Lakes Road).  This year the Town has received a $50,000 grant and is in the process of re-configuring the dock area and putting up a small building with an office and storage etc. for the people who will work at the Pedal Boat rentals this summer.  The Town of Monroe also purchased new pedal boats, a kayak and rowboats for recreational use.  The boat rentals opened Memorial Day Weekend and are now open on Saturday and Sundays. Expanded availability will begin later this month. From June 25 through Labor Day Weekend the boat rentals will be open on Wednesdays through Sundays from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m Pedal Boats will rent for $3 for a 1/2 hour and the Kayak and Rowboats will be $6 per hour
