Harriman. Eagle Scout candidate Rahul Raja candidate returns to the school where he went to kindergarten to complete his community service program.

Troop 440 Eagle Scout candidate Rahul Raja built and delivered four picnic tables and two benches for the playground at Sapphire Elementary School where he went for kindergarten.
Rahul is awaitng for his Scout Board of Review for the rank of Eagle, but he also wanted to express his sincere thanks to Sapphire Elementary Principal Caitlin Caldwell and Peter Quartironi, the Director of Facilities for the Monroe-Woodbury School District, for giving him the opportunity to serve the school where he attended.
“I’m very happy with timing of these tables and benches,” Principal Caldwell said, “and would definitely help the school kids, especially during the pandemic time where kids can relax outside their classroom during recess.
