WTBQ wins two talk radio awards

NEW YORK — The Northeast Talk Radio Council announced last month its first series of official awards for talk radio excellence in the region for 2015.

The group announced the following award categories, the winning talk broadcast professionals and their radio affiliates:

Best New Radio Newscaster
• Zach Kruk, WTBQ Radio

Outstanding Radio Commentary
• Ray Graf, WAMC

Best Investigative Reporting
• Fred Dicker, Talk 1300 AM

Best News Analysis
• John Bachelor, WABC

Outstanding Book Review
• Joe Donahue, WAMC

Best Political Talk Show
• Mark Levine, WABC

Best Innovative Content
Joseph Dans, WTBQ

Outstanding Sports Analysis
• Mike Francesa, WFAN

The Northeast Talk Radio Council is a not for profit group that promotes, educates, monitors and evaluates talk broadcasting best practices in the Northeast Region of the US.

Its membership consists of communication professionals and those from other industry related groups.

Its selection process for awards is a private one and the council prefers that it not be solicited to maintain its integrity.
