CENTRAL VALLEY — The North Main Elementary School Drama Club will present two free community performances of "Aladdin Jr." on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. in the Central Valley Elementary School auditorium.

"Based on the popular Disney movie, 'Aladdin Jr.' is a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and flying carpet rides," said Pat Murray, the play's director and North Main music teacher. "It features the songs 'A Whole New World,' 'Friend Like Me' and 'Prince Ali.'”

A cast of 86 actors and actresses

"Aladdin Jr." is a fully staged and costumed production performed by 86 North Main Elementary students.

It features Andrew Miller as Aladdin, Olivia Theokas as Jasmine, Madison Green as the Genie, Denochy Cowan as Jafar, James Dawson as Iago, John Guerrera as the Sultan, Jared Anderson as Abu, and Luke Lauterbach as the Carpet.

Set design by Albert Murray, Joe Mignano, Mike Vernola, Dan Vernola and Liz Pesce.

Choreography by Christine Lauterbach.

Accompaniment by Richard and Tyler Schacher.

North Main plays are historically held at Central Valley Elementary because that school has an auditorium.
