Warwick Skatepark Initiative has been accepted to work under the fiscal sponsorship of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan.

The committee also has selected a new location for the state-of-the-art new skatepark has been approved by the Warwick Village Board. It will still be located in Veterans Memorial Park; however, the new site is between the Little League fields and the library and access is the path that connects the two. This site was chosen for its close proximity to parking, restrooms and concession facility.
The new Warwick Skatepark will contain a concrete bowl, a staircase with a flatbar and ledges on both sides, a quarterpipe, long C-shaped ledge and a large manual pad.
“This is an upgrade over the current skatepark,” Tyler said, “and will provide a more exciting, challenging and improved facility for children, teens and adults who enjoy the sport of skateboarding, biking and scooting.”
The cost is $300,000. Individuals, families and businesses are invited to purchase T-shirts and personalized brick pavers.
