Students, families and faculty and staff at George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo collected food to support the efforts of the Greenwood Lake and Sloatsburg food pantries this holiday season, spearheaded by the school’s National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). National Honor Society officers Tara O’Dell, secretary and vice president of service; Madeline Doyle, president; and Isabel Minano, vice president and treasurer, show some of the donated items to support needy families in the Tuxedo, Sloatsburg and Greenwood Lake communities. NHS advisor Jennifer Jones said the food items will be delivered to those food pantries after the Thanksgiving holiday, at their request, to help them restock shelves after their huge Thanksgiving food distributions.
