Support Riley’s Parade with a ‘travel-size’ donation
Harriman. From now through May 15, the village will collect a variety of toiletries for Ronald McDonald House families.
The Village of Harriman will be collecting items in support of Riley’s Parade, an organization that helps support families that are staying at the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley while their child is fighting in the NICU.
The organization supports the families by providing them with care packages filled with a variety of toiletries. The Village is looking to help fill those care packages by requesting area residents donate the following travel-size items: shampoo, conditioner, men’s and women’s deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shave cream, disposable razors, face wash, bar soap, ChapStick, combs, tissues, first aid kits, alcohol pads, cleansing wipes, and pads of various sizes.
Items can be dropped off at the following locations:
- The Village of Harriman, 12 Church Street, Harriman, NY, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- The Harriman Police Department, One Maple Avenue, Harriman NY, any time of day.
The Village will be working closely with a representative from the Riley’s Parade to help get the donated supplies to the families at the Ronald McDonald House. If you have any questions, call 845-783-4421.
The last day to send in donations is May 15.
