MONROE — The Village of Monroe is ready for the Halloween season, thanks to the efforts of the Monroe Girl Scout Service Unit, Boy Scout Troop 340 and Monroe-Woodbury High School art students.

This past weekend, the groups installed scarecrows and cornstalks around the center of the village as well as completed work to paint a variety of Halloween scenes on windows of village businesses.

Village officials hope the community will enjoy viewing work to make the village look spooky and festive.
