Monroe wins $145,000 for town generators

The town of Monroe recently won a grant for $145,000, which will be used to purchase backup generators at the town’s Senior Center, Highway Department, and Water District 1 facilities, State Senator James Skoufis (D-42) announced. According to Skoufis’ office, the funding was requested by Councilmembers Mary Bingham (D) and Dorey Houle (R).
