Monroe Boy Scout Troop 440 held its Freezoree at Camp Turrell in Cuddebackville on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12 and 13. Joining the scouts were new Webelos who are coming into the troop. "We were hoping for some winter weather, to enjoy winter sports and work on scout skills," Scout Leader Mike Endrizzi said. "It was a beautiful weekend in the 60s." So instead, the scouts went over some advancement requirements. The troop had a great turnout (the photo does not show 10 others who participated during the weekend). "We even had one scout from Northridge, California, attend hoping for some snow and ice fishing," Endrizzi said. "We will try again next month for winter sports activities."
