Monroe shelter information

Dear Monroe Resident,

During this storm there will be four shelters available to the Monroe community.

They are:

* Lakeside Firehouse

* Monroe-Woodbury High School

* Monroe Volunteer Ambulance Corps Building

* Pallotine Sisters on Harriman Heights Road

These shelters are now open.

If you are going to a shelter please bring the following:

* Blankets

* Clothes

* Pillows

* Medicines

* Toiletries

For your information there are county shelters that are available to the public:

* Newburgh Armory at 321 South Willam Street

* Middletown Shelter at 38 Seward Ave

* Port Jervis at Hamilton Bi Cenntenial School in Cuddibackville

If you need emergency information from the county please call 211.

If anyone needs transportation to a shelter they are to call the Monroe Police Department

at (845) 782-8644.
