Monroe Free Library launches Small Business Month series
Monroe. Learn all about a variety of business tools, including Canva and ChatGPT.
May is National Small Business Month, a month dedicated to celebrating and empowering small businesses that have a big impact on local economies. Monroe Free Library is offering a variety of programs and services for businesses and professionals this month to show its support and commitment to the local community.
Programs and workshops are aimed to assist small businesses in executing day-to-day tasks such as learning how to use ChatGPT and the library’s business database, as well as navigating Canva’s design tool. Patrons will also have access to services such as professional headshots and demonstrations on how to use the library’s new pop-up creative studio, which includes a greenscreen, recording equipment, and more.
“This is a great opportunity for local small-business owners and entrepreneurs to connect with each other and the information and resources they need to launch, grow and succeed,” said Monroe Free Library Executive Director Amanda Primiano.
Professionals can access baseline support all year, such as meeting spaces, one-on-one librarian assistance, tech help, and Wi-Fi, as well as ebooks, magazines, and newspapers. Take advantage of these free resources during Small Business Month and throughout the year.
