Monroe. COVID-19 concerns cancel Civil War reenactment at Museum Village

The pandemic continues to disrupt familiar elements and events.
Consider this note from Michael Sosler, the executive director of Museum Village:
It is with great sadness and disappointment that we have to announce the cancellation of our 45th annual Civil War Reenactment,” Sosler announced this week via mail. “We waited for the last possible moment but could wait no more. With the safety of our visitors, reenactors and staff in mind, this was our only option.
“Please mark down next year’s date, September 4th & 5th 2021,” he added, “when we will plan for a living history event. Also please visit our GOFUNDME page to help us with our much needed fund raising.”
