The Village of Harriman is once again collecting school supplies for kids who need them.
“Our goal is to help in the aid of school supplies and helping the less fortunate children of our community,” Harriman Mayor Stephen H. Welle said in the village’s appeal. “As the school year commences, we find that the drive is extremely important as many local families are struggling as well different protocols being put into place (due to COVID-19) that require individual personal items.”
Donations are being sought now through Friday, Aug. 21. The items should be brought to:
Harriman Village Hall, 12 Church St., Harriman, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a bin outside Village Hall labeled for donations.
The Harriman Police Department, One Maple Ave., Harriman, anytime.
Village officials will be working closely with someone from the Monroe-Woodbury School District to make sure the donated supplies get into the hands of the children that need them most.
