Greater Hudson Bank opens Monroe branch

MONROE — Greater Hudson Bank opened its newest location in Monroe at 360 Route 17M with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 18 that was attended by community leaders, local dignitaries and bank officials.

Occupying more than 2,000-square feet, with 14 employees on staff, the Monroe branch and loan center is Greater Hudson Bank’s fifth location in the Hudson Valley and third in Orange County (Middletown and Warwick). It will provide consumer and commercial clients with a full spectrum of banking products and services including: checking, savings and certificate of deposit accounts; diverse business and loan options, as well as consumer and business electronic banking alternatives.

Features include the convenience and security of 24-Hour ATM banking, a drive-up window, safe deposit boxes, and a night-drop box.

Gina L. Herska is the branch operations manager; Alexander Jamieson is its commercial lender; and Walter Popailo is the Orange County relationship manager.

To celebrate the branch opening, the bank is offering special benefits with Greater Gold Checking, including waived ATM fees with foreign fees waived up to $10 per month, free first order of checks, identity theft protection and discounts. The bank has also introduced an “Easy Switch Kit” to make changing banks easier for new customers.

For business customers, personalized lending and deposit products are also being offered.

The Monroe branch will welcome the community on Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a family friendly event that will include music, entertainment, WHUD prize wheel, giveaways and free food.
