On Saturday, Dec. 18, Monroe Troop 440 participated in the Wreaths Across America event at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen.
The scouts were among of those this day who placed wreaths on the approximately 4,700 graves of fallen service members and veterans who are laid to rest at this cemetery.
“This event is an annual tradition of Troop 440 which is proud to support this amazing organization,” said Steven Thau, Troop 440’s committee chairman. “It is a time for them to show their commitment to God and Country by honoring these brave men and women who selflessly served our country and gave us the freedom we enjoy as Americans. Troop 440 always remembers that freedom is not free.”
