In honor of National Farmers’ Market week, starting Sunday, Aug. 6, Orange County is holding a farmers’ market hunt. Visit any famers’ market in Orange County Aug. 6 through Nov. 4 to join.
Visit any farmers’ market in Orange County to collect your “passport” or http://www.orangecountynyfarms.com/events2023 to print one.
Just like a bingo card, bring the passport to the designated tent at any farmers’ market in Orange County to receive a sticker and fill up all the spaces. There are two already done for you. You can go to the same market each week, or a different market every week, but once the card is full, submit it to be entered for a prize of local goodies. If you forget your card, ask for a sticker to take home.
Every time you get a sticker, snap and post a pic. Don’t forget to tag @OCNYFarms or #ocnyfarms or #findyourFarmersMarket. This way, if you lose it, you don’t have to start from scratch – just tell the county to check out your post!
Once the card is filled, leave it at the market, mail it to OC Planning Department, 124 Main St., Goshen NY 10924 or take a photo and email it to whatsfresh@orangecountynyfarms.com or on the website to be entered in a drawing for a basket of local farm fresh items. Don’t forget to put in your contact information. There will be a special prize for anyone who goes to all the farmers’ markets in the county.
