Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Tuxedo celebrated the Feast of St. Francis on Saturday, Oct. 6. The feast commemorates the life of St. Francis, who was born in the 12th century and is the Catholic Church’s patron saint of animals and the environment. Pictured here is the Rev. Joseph Emmanuel as he sprinkles holy water on Andrea Hackett’s four-month old cat. The cat, by the way, did not pay any attention to the dogs at the blessing.
