Dr. Kaushal Shah named ‘Physician of Excellence’ by the state Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Association

Dr. Kaushal Shah has been named "Physician of Excellence" by the New York State Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Association.

Shah was nominated by Monroe EMS.

The award is for an individual who must be licensed in their title and shall be a contributor to the EMS community, show dedication, responsibility, professional behavior, special skills and insight to the pre-hospital setting, having particular impact on one or more organizational member of the NYSVARA.

"Dr. Shah has been our Corps doctor for approximately ten years," said Monroe Volunteer Ambulance President Nancy Peifer. "He oversees the health and well being of our members. Last year, Dr. Shah joined our Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement committee. He volunteers his time to review our documentation and make suggestions for improvement."
