Delaney's dancing wows audience

— No one really knew just how far Delaney Sullivan had progressed until her surprise performance at the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center floored the audience.
Delaney, a student at the M’Lanie Hunter Dance Studio in Chester, gave a performance alongside her teacher, Cassandra Palumnmo, that led to a standing ovation. After the performance, the audience heard the good news that Delaney would continue on full scholarship at M’Lanie Hunter Dance as she continues her education.
Last year, Delaney, when she was 10, suffered a stroke in dance class, surrounded by friends and teachers. Her dance family and the wider community showed her an outpouring of love and concern, leading to the “Dance Again Delaney” campaign on gofundme.com.
Over the past year, Delaney has worked tirelessly at physical therapy and is back at school. But she was a dancer since age two, and dance was still missing from her life.
With the encouragement of her family, friends, and dance studio, Delaney began taking private lessons at M’Lanie Hunter Dance, combining occupational therapy and dance. Her friends say it's wonderful seeing her around the studio again, working with Palummo on her strength and technique.
And so, with hard work and perseverance, and the support of friends, Delaney dances on, into a bright future.
