MONROE — Four Cub Scouts from Monroe Pack 488 were awarded their “Light of Christ” emblem during ceremonies held at Sacred Heart Church in Monroe this past Sunday.

This emblem can be earned by Catholic Cub Scouts in the first and second grade. As part of their spiritual development, these four Cub Scouts sought to better understand their Catholic faith, according to their adult overseers, and completed workbook lessons with their parents showing what they learned.

This pin is worn as a part of their uniform over the left pocket and serves as “a reminder to be true to their faith and to uphold the law of the Pack.”
