Cody Schneider achieves the rank of Eagle Scout
Monroe. The young man's community service project focused on the beautification of Mombasha Park.

The Town of Monroe congratulates Cody Schneider on his recent achievement of Eagle Scout rank.
Cody’s Eagle Scout Project focused on the beautification of Mombasha Park and included the creation and installation of illuminated sign at the beginning and end of the trail, the diversion of a part of the trail away from water, the engineering of three new bridges with the installation of stepping stones in wet areas, as well as the mounting of trail markers throughout the area.
With assistance from his fellow Troop 440 members, Cody also replaced two benches and added a third built out of Trex material, overlooking the lake.
In addition, new gravel was spread and the trail was edged in timber.
"The Town of Monroe is grateful for Cody’s efforts in making an impact in our community," Town Supervisor Tony Cardone said.
