Clinical Dietician Laura Ronen joins Crystal Run Healthcare

MIDDLETOWN — Laura Ronen, a clinical dietician and certified diabetes educator, has joined Crystal Run Healthcare at its facilities in Monroe and West Nyack.
Ronen offers comprehensive nutritional care, including counseling for weight control and disease management, and coordinates aspects of the practice’s diabetes education program, where she provides guidance on diabetes prevention and lifestyle modifications for patients of the practice.
She earned her bachelor of science from Florida International University in Miami, FL and earned her master of science in nutrition and food studies from New York University.
"She brings to our practice her expertise in adult and adolescent diabetes education and nutritional advice," said Dr. Peggy Nelson, Division Lead of Endocrinology, at Crystal Run Healthcare. "She can provide behavior modification plans for Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, gestational diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and weight loss. In addition, she will provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy both individually and in a class format.”
