Christopher Graziano
WOODBURY. Trustee Christopher Graziano is running for re-election to the Woodbury village board on the Republican and Woodbury First lines.
Why are you running for trustee?
To give back to the community my family and I fell in love with. Public service is a privilege, and I promise the citizens of Woodbury that I will continue to work hard for them each and every day if re-elected.
I consider each vote as earned and never taken for granted. The people of Woodbury welcomed my family with open arms, my son attended the wonderful Monroe-Woodbury schools, and now I want to return that graciousness and serve my community to the best of my ability and to always put Woodbury first.
What are the top three issues facing the village today and how do you plan to address them?
Water supply, water regulations, and sewer infrastructure.
As an incumbent, I was part of the board that already put in place long-term capital and maintenance plans to make our water and sewer infrastructure more resilient and sustainable for future generations. We have new water regulations coming in the next year regarding PFAS and lead, and I have the experience to help guide the village through what will be needed to comply and continue providing safe and reliable water for our community.
What sets you apart from your challengers?
Experience and drive. I have over 30 years’ experience as a leader in the water and wastewater industry, both critical items essential for the village’s long-term success. I feel that we are here to serve the public transparently, openly, and honestly, and we have a proven history of doing so. I have extensive leadership experience as a utility executive and a skill set that I offer to our residents as a public service.
Feel free to add information about your background and qualifications.
I have more than three decades of experience in construction, water, sewer, large capital, engineering, and operational planning, and budgeting, as well as improving intermunicipal relationships. I have successfully worked in partnerships with more than 50 municipalities and many community groups to build solid public -private partnerships for more than 650,000 water and wastewater customers.
