Central Valley branch of the Woodbury Public Library will reopen on May 19
CENTRAL VALLEY — The Central Valley branch of the Woodbury Public Library will reopen on Saturday, May 19, with a celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All ages can drop in for activities including table coloring, mosaic wall art, button bonanza and musical instrument scavenger hunt. The children’s, teens and adult spaces have all been remodeled.
Award-winning educator and nationally published author Bob Barlow will help students write a library anthem to celebrate the reopening of the Ida Cornell branch.
Barlow will guide kids through the song-writing process and encourage them to brainstorm ideas and images that belong in a song about their library.
This rhythm-and-rhyme mini-workshop will prime kids to craft verses that are fun to sing.
Workshop begins at 10 a.m. and culminates in a noon performance. Registration is required for the workshop. Call 928-2114 or sign up online.
