Celebrate Marya Kennett's extraordinary life at Saturday service

All are welcome to attend a memorial service for Marya A. Kennett and a celebration of her life this Saturday, Aug. 11, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Marya Kennett Dance Center, 150 West Main St., Goshen. Starting with small studio that began in her own home, Kennett over 50-plus years taught generations of dancers, many of whom went on to teach dance. Her memorial notice read: "Above all, she taught us to recover from our mistakes and missteps, to learn from failures, to never give up. She also taught us that the show must go on. And indeed it will. For generations and lifetimes to come, her students and their students and then their students will radiate her joy and grace and love of dance on stages all over the world."
