CENTRAL VALLEY — The Monroe-Woodbury School District's transportation department has recognized the performance of two of its bus drivers as part of its ongoing and awarding-winning safety program:

Bus 415
Route: M-W Middle School

Driver Nikki DePaolo: "My middle school students are wonderful. They listen when spoken to and follow directions without skipping a beat.

"They are always pleasant and respectful," DePaolo added in her report. "Not only to me but to each other. They smile, laugh and sing all the time. My students engage in conversation with me and really are a joyful bunch of kids. They all get along and there is always kindness and respect shown to each other. I am so proud and honored to drive these students to school and back home."

Route: Smith Clove Elementary

Driver Winnie Massimo: "My K-1 students are so well behaved. They help each other and are very respectful. I always hear thank you and excuse me. It's always a joy to see them everyday to start my day with a smile."
