Central Valley - The congregation at the Central Valley Methodist Church awarded a $500 scholarship to one of its members and Monroe-Woodbury High School graduate Eric A. Kramer. Eric, a life scout, will begin his studies this fall at Clarkson University in upstate Potsdam, where he hopes to major in computer software engineering so that he may pursue his dream of becoming a video game developer. His “Plan B” is to become a robotics engineer. In addition to the church scholarship, Eric will receive $22,400 annually in scholarships from Clarkson University; he also has received a $7,000 grant from the National Science Foundation’s Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
