Keasby, N.J. Rea Noyes among seven ShopRite associates to receive Progressive Grocer’s 2020 Top Women in Grocery Awards
Wakefern Food Corp., the and merchandising, distribution and logistics arm for ShopRite stores, announced seven ShopRite employees are recipients of Progressive Grocer’s 2020 Top Women in Grocery Award.
The award recognizes women who strengthen the retail food industry by going above and beyond their job description, leading by example and making a difference in the communities they serve.
Honorees are from Wakefern member companies Inserra Supermarkets, Klein’s ShopRite of Maryland and ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. The winners are: Jessica Gasser, vice president of human resources and chief compliance officer, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc.; Susan Giordano, general manager of the ShopRite of Wallington, Inserra Supermarkets; Rea Noyes, general manager of the ShopRite of Ramsey, Inserra Supermarkets; Gina Olivieri, director of payroll and benefits, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc.; Lauren Shoul, lead store director, ShopRite of Cardiff, Klein’s ShopRite of Maryland; Alina Svizzero, district HR specialist, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc.; and Rebecca Weber, regional quality assurance manager, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc.
The honorees will be celebrated during an awards ceremony on Nov. 5 in Orlando, Fla.
Noyes, a resident of Highland Mills, N.Y., is honored as a Top Women in Grocery Store Management for her strong track record of mentorship and community outreach. She established an ongoing volunteer program with the Center for Food Action and was honored with a coveted spot on the special-edition ShopRite Partners in Caring Cheerios box. Inserra recognized her with the Above and Beyond Award for her positive attitude and performance.
