The Florida Fire Department, with help from Mayor Dan Harter Jr. and Village Trustee Alyssa Werner, placed flags in front of Florida Village Hall over this Labor Day weekend. This is a yearly event organized by the Fire Department’s 9/11 committee (Sal Puglisi and Anne Ossentjuk) to honor the victims of 9/11. There will be a ceremony on Monday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m., at the Fireman’s Memorial between Village Hall and the Florida Fire Department. Photo provided by Anne Ossentjuk.
